Plant Your Own Survivor Tree

At the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, there is a tree that stood in the World Trade Center Plaza on September 11, 2001. After the attacks, rescue workers found it alive…but just barely. Hardworking arborists nurtured it back to health, and now it grows strong in the new Memorial as a symbol of the individuals who were hurt but survived. Plant your own tree to symbolize all of the survivors of 9/11 and the fact that people can overcome difficult circumstances.
