Memoria E Luce

The Memoria E Luce memorial, designed by Daniel Libeskind, preserves the memories of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Located in Padua, Italy, it contains a steel beam salvaged from the World Trade Center wreckage. It looks a little bit like an open book, meant to be the Book of History, where the light (luce) of Liberty shines on the page of the book open to memories (memoria) of the victims of 9/11.
